Facilities
In 2005 Council entered into partnership with Competition Line for the provision of our Lifestyle Fitness Suite. This extended facility now contains some of the most up to date fitness equipment to cater for all levels, whether it be the recreational user or the competitive athlete.
Equipment includes a full range of resistance weights machines, a selection of free weights and a full range of cardio training including treadmills, cross trainers, cycles & rowing machines. In all there are over 50 pieces of equipment to exercise every part of the body.
The fitness suite also features a cardio theatre facility allowing users to watch tv or listen to music while they train. Our 4 large plasmas offer a variety of TV, with some equipment having individual screens for personal choice.
Customers can "pay as they play" as a Casual User which currently costs £5.50 per adult or £4.00 concessionary (disabled/student/juvenile/senior citizen) Memberships are available which can save the user a considerable amount of money. An Adult Membership costs only £360 per year! That's only £6.92 per week or 99p per day! And don't forget that membership includes use of the Health Suite and Swimming during designated public sessions. The membership pages offer more information on this and other options.
Why not come in a see the Fitness Suite for yourself. Just ask at reception and a member of staff will be happy to show you round.
